“Full hookup” gets used loosely, and not every full-hookup RV site in Stillwater is set up the same way. If you’re going to be parked for weeks or months, the details matter. Here’s what to actually look for before you book.
What “full hookup” really means
A true full-hookup site gives you all three connections right at your pad: city water, a sewer connection, and electric. That means no hauling a tank to a dump station and no refilling fresh water by hand — the things that turn a long stay into a chore. Every site at Cowboy Camp is full hookup with city water, sewer, and electric.
Why 30/50-amp matters
Electric service comes in 30-amp and 50-amp. Bigger rigs — especially anything running two air conditioners — need 50-amp to avoid tripping breakers in an Oklahoma summer. Sites that offer both, on modern lit pedestals, let you plug in the right service for your rig without adapters or workarounds. Ours are 30/50-amp on lit Eaton pedestals.
The details that get overlooked
- Security: fenced, gated, lit, and camera-monitored — critical if your rig and tools are your livelihood.
- WiFi and laundry: reliable parkwide WiFi and on-site laundry make a months-long stay livable.
- Year-round operation: confirm the park stays open and the hookups are winter-ready if your stay runs into the cold months.
- Location: being in town means food, hardware, and groceries are minutes away, not a drive.
